For decades Chinese companies focused their international investment on unearthing natural resources in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In recent years, China is stating their place as a world leader by investing in ports, railways and infrastructure across the globe. What do these investments reveal about China's intentions in the West? How is China's image being shaped by its muscular international investments? Should the West respond to this new wave, and if so, how? And what opportunities and challenges does this create for Swedish Corporations in China?

To lead this Executive Dialogue SwedCham Beijing has invited Mats Harborn, Executive Director of Scania, the President of the European Chamber, former Chairman of SwedCham China to lead a round table discussion on how Chinese investments and how they are affecting Sweden and Swedish businesses.

Mr. Harborn has a proven record of successful introductions of products and companies into China over the years. He is now the Executive Director of Scania China Strategic Office, responsible for setting strategies and paving the way for high-end CV sales. Mr. Harborn has a long professional experience of China, previously working for Handelsbanken and the Swedish Trade Council in China. He is also a familiar feature in the Executive programme at the Stockholm School of Economics, lecturing about Chinese culture, politics and business.
