In Dalian,
Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (VWATD) builds
transmission systems for the Chinese market. Since the production started in January 2010, VWATD has produced transmission for 18 popular car models of the Volkswagen, Audi and Škoda brands in China. The main product of VWATD is the
7-speed dual clutch transmission DSG DQ200 which combines the advantages of manual and automatic shifting, creating a highly efficient bundle of economy, performance, smooth handling and driving pleasure. VWATD also produces the
AVS cam shaft in their Dalian plant, a driving component of the newest generation EA888 engine that fuses maximum driving comfort with optimized fuel consumption.
This exclusive plant tour will give the participants insights into the latest production technologies of the Volkswagen Group as well as recent developments and challenges in the car industry. Furthermore, the special conditions of the production facilities in VWATD will be explained.
