Event Summary

Good business is good for business, as ethical consumers are increasingly likely to inquire after a product’s history, and not simply its make or model.

How is a leading global retailer adapting to this changing customer mindset? What is the business doing to understand its impact on the planet and its people?

Join us this Friday, February 2, at FreshStart as we invite Jennifer Gee, senior director of communications for Gap, Inc.’s China retail division, to discuss how Gap’s social mission is embedded in the company.

Gap’s first store was opened in 1969 by Doris and Don Fisher in San Francisco with a simple idea—to make it easier to find a pair of jeans and a commitment to do more. Over the last 46 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with six brands—Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, Intermix and Weddington Way. The company’s products are available in 90 countries worldwide through 3,300 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites. Gap Inc. believes that good business can change the world. The company is focused on making its industry more sustainable and on improving the communities where it operates.

FreshStart Rotary Club warmly welcomes all to attend, listen, and ask questions.
