This year's VDMA China Mechanical Engineering Summit will focus on the topic "Navigating Efficiency and Global Competition in the Machinery Industry". As the Chinese mechanical engineering industry embarks on a new wave of 'Going Global', with advanced technology and competitively priced products, their international presence, especially in Europe, is intensifying. This trend challenges to European companies, requiring a proactive response.

With increased competition and new challenges from the global expansion of the Chinese machinery industry, streamlining operational processes and boosting productivity are not only beneficial but essential for survival and success. Efficiency, particularly in reducing operational costs, is now the biggest advantage of Chinese competitors over German manufacturers. Aditionally, overcapacity and the global expansion of industrial production in China causes a serious challenge to the innovative and adaptive capacity of German and European machinery companies.
