Event Details

After decades in the corporate sector working for Fortune 500 companies, Lin made the brave move to leave and become a leading executive coach. She authored the book Be The Hero of Your Story, the first career self-help book in China that incorporates self-coaching methodology and case studies to help readers self-reflect and take ownership of their own personal breakthrough.

Lin was previously a senior director of Global Government Affairs at Motorola Solutions China. She has over 20 years of corporate experience working in China and the U.S. across the areas of government affairs, IT, supply chain and marketing. Lin has served on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce since 2013 and is the first Chinese woman holding the vice chair role. She is also the co-founder and co-chair of the AmCham Women Professional Committee, and advises a number NGOs. Lin holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from Nottingham Trent University and an MBA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Lin will share her personal challenges and growth journey. Her bold transition from being a corporate leader to an executive coach/entrepreneur was exciting but also difficult, and the freeing feeling of starting anew also came with a lost of identity. Lin will share how she found her voice and confidence, why she made her career transition, and what she has learnt helping others succeed. She will also share insights from her book, and advice how she thinks other women can learn to trust themselves, face challenges, and help others too.

There is no extra cost for spotlight dinners. Participants only have to split the cost for the dinner (which will be less than 100RMB per person). Please email us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.
