Please join us for our third education salon: A Dialogue with a Young Poet, featuring poets Xi Chuan and An Zhaoning, on Friday, 1 December between 6:30pm and 8pm in the Multi-Purpose Hall. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
This meeting between an accomplished poet and one who has just started to find his poetic voice will cross the generational divide into a discussion about the fundamental nature of poetry and the eternal search for truth. Whereas to Xi Chuan, “realism in poetry is always the most important, you only need to discover and capture the object’s innate poetry to bring out the sublime from the mundane,” An Zhaoning defines poetry as “the best medium to communicate."
