Speakers
Kweilin is a McKinsey Global Institute Director and Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company based in Shanghai. She led McKinsey’s life insurance practice in North American and has led a number of growth and productivity transformations across the insurance value chain. She has worked with a number of both global and U.S.-focused insurance and retirement companies on topics ranging from advice, distribution strategy, analytics, claims effectiveness, and customer experience transformations.
At McKinsey Global Institute, she recently authored a report on “The China imperative for multinational corporations: Reconfiguring for opportunity and risk.” She is also leading research on gender equality in companies in China. She has led numerous McKinsey Global Institute research efforts over the last decade including on the Future of Work post COVID-19, gender and racial equality, global competitiveness and productivity, and the impact of COVID-19 and automation on jobs. Kweilin also helps lead McKinsey’s global social responsibility investments.
Kweilin has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Harvard University. She worked at the Center for Women & Enterprise, a nonprofit to help women entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. She is a Board member of the Greater Twin Cities United Way. Kweilin grew up living in many countries – China, Japan, France, and Ecuador. She lived with local families and attended local schools to learn the language.
