The Danish Chamber of Commerce in China (DCCC) is inviting our members to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in North/Beijing, where we evaluate the work of 2023 and elect the Board of Directors for 2024.

The AGM will take place on Tuesday, 26th March, 14:00 - 17:00 at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Beijing.


The AGM is for DCCC corporate members and special invitees only, and each corporate member can have up to two representatives participates in the AGM free of charge.


If you are unable to join the AGM in person, it is strongly suggested that you fill out the Proxy Form. Please return this form as scanned file by the 22nd of March to Anna Lin Yip, secretary general of DCCC: anna@dccc.com.cn.

About Robert Xiao:


Robert Xiao is the Director of the Economist Intelligence Corporate Network (EICN) in Beijing. He is responsible for engaging in high-level dialogues with business and political leaders, providing insights on global macroeconomic trends and policy directions for Fortune 500 decision-makers to support their macro layout and business development in domestic and international markets.


Prior to joining EICN, Mr Xiao held positions as a lecturer, senior lecturer, PhD supervisor, and Deputy Director of the Impact Finance Hub at Monash University and Deakin Business School in Australia. His research mainly focused on the fields of corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, and economic and financial policy analysis related to the Chinese and US markets. He has authored multiple publications in Financial Times Top 50 Journals and been awarded major research grants jointly by the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and Chinese Academy of Social Science.


An educator at heart, Mr Xiao has always maintained a passion for tertiary teaching. He has more than a decade of experience teaching business courses, including Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Finance, and Bachelor of Commerce programmes at leading universities.


Mr Xiao obtained his Ph.D. in Finance from Monash University and graduated with honours (B.Com. Hons) from Monash Business School in 2008 as the highest-achieving student in his cohort. He has won multiple awards from Australian universities, including the Australian Postgraduate Awards granted by the Australian Federal Government.

Vote on Amendment of Bylaw

Original:

Individual membership - Individuals not qualifying for an All-China, A, B or C Corporate Membership. For legal reasons, Chinese nationals do not qualify for individual membership. Individual members will have voting rights in the local chapter where they are registered but not relating to changes to the AoA or Bylaws.

New:
Individual Membership - Individual membership is open to those who do not qualify for an All-China, A, B, or C Corporate Membership. However, individuals who are Danes and working with Danish or Danish co-owned companies are ineligible for individual membership. Additionally, for legal reasons, Chinese nationals are excluded from individual membership. Individual members are entitled to voting rights within their registered local chapter, except concerning changes to the Articles of Association (AoA) or Bylaws.
