Event Details
To support German companies to understand the Chinese market in depth and to develop and seek more business opportunities, the German Chamber of Commerce in China launched the "Xplore China " project in January 2021.
为帮助德国企业深入了解中国市场，助力企业发展，寻求合作机遇，中国德国商会计划从2021年1月起启动"探索中国-德企中国行"系列城市考察活动。
"Xplore China" are delegation trips that aim at bringing German companies to Chinese 2nd, 3rd or 4th tier cities to discover the cities' economic and development potential. These delegations will be industry-oriented and put meetings with high-level government officials, matchmaking exchanges, visits to representative companies, projects, development areas, as well as social networking activities on the agenda.
"探索中国-德企中国行" 将选取中国投资新区域和具有发展潜力城市为目的地，组织高级别代表团，开展为期1-2天的短期考察。考察将以产业为导向，通过组织与政府高级别官员会见、产业对接交流会、工厂与项目参观、投资区域考察以及社交酒会等活动，帮助企业更好地建立与地区的联系、掌握区域发展情况、了解最新合作需求。
The first stop of "Xplore China" 2021 is planned to visit the Hainan on March 25-26th. German companies are sincerely invited to participate.

In June last year, Chinese authorities released the Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, a large-scale plan to transform the entire island province into a free trade port (FTP) – making it the largest special economic zone in China.
海南位于中国最南端，是中国最大的经济特区，也是唯一的自由贸易港，背靠内地和东南亚市场，面向太平洋、印度洋。
A series of special policies for Hainan is planed such as scrapping import duties, lowering income tax rates for high-level talent, capping company tax at 15 percent, and relaxing visa requirements for tourist and business travelers. Furthermore, on the policy agenda are 1) the liberalization of trade of goods and services; 2) the facilitation of investment, opening-up of key sectors; and 3) the free exchange of people, capital, and data.
2020年6月中央政府印发《海南自由贸易港建设总体方案》，在海南全岛范围内赋予
零关税（取消进口关税）; 低税率（个人所得税、企业所得税15%）; 简税制; 贸易以及投资自由; 跨境资金流动自由; 人员进出自由; 运输来往自由; 数据安全有序流动等改革政策；为企业对资金、人才、信息、技术等资源进行全球化配置提供方便。"资源多、商机多、成本低、管得少" 是海南的目标。
Due to its location, the Hainan Free Trade Port will also facilitate business between China and ASEAN countries.
