We cordially invite you to join our online Workshop on Cross-Border Data Transfer in China, which will take place online on December 2nd, 2022.

As of September 1, 2022, new requirements for cross-border data transfer came into force in China. Three new documents were published this year: The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) published the "Measures for Security Assessment of Cross-Border Data Transfer" (July 7, 2022) and the "Draft Provisions on Standard Contracts for Cross-Border Personal Information Transfer" (June 30, 2022). In addition, the central standardization body TC260 has published the "Practice Guide - Specifications for Security Certification of Cross-Border Personal Information Transfer". All three documents specify the previously only vaguely formulated requirements for cross-border data transfer. With a relatively short transition period of 6 months, security assessments must be submitted to the authorities for certain types of data, if necessary, certifications or contracts between the branch and the European headquarters must be concluded in the future.

Goal of the Workshop Meeting:

The workshop gives insights into the current and upcoming requirements. All participants can contribute with questions, which we answer together with the subject experts.

Agenda:

Together with the experts Sophie Fuchs and Liu Liu from CHINABRAND, we will shed light on the recently published documents and analyze their significance for our members. After an impulse lecture there is enough time to answer the questions of the participants and exchange opinions.

Recording:

A recording of the workshop is not foreseen.

After registration we will send you dial-in link one day prior the event.
