We are excited to invite you to our second VDMA Industry Insight Tour of the year. Following the success of our previous event, visiting humanoid robot's companies in Hangzhou, we are now turning our eyes to the sky.
This time, we will explore another very dynamic future industry: The Low-Altitude Economy (LAE). We have arranged an exclusive, behind-the-scenes access tour to two of China's pioneering manufacturing leaders in Guangzhou – EHang, CZi and XPENG. This is a rare opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the factories and technologies that will be shaping the future of urban air mobility.

What is the Low-Altitude Economy?
The low-altitude economy refers to the rapidly developing economic ecosystem centered on manned and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) activities in low-altitude airspace (typically below 1,000 meters). It is a strategic emerging industry in China:
- Air Taxis (eVTOL): Pilotless electric aircraft for urban commuting.
- Cargo Logistics: High-speed drone delivery networks.
- Smart City Management: Aerial inspections and emergency response.
The low-altitude industry is extremely interesting and relevant for manufacturing. It is not just about flying drones and air taxis; it represents a significant new industrial manufacturing opportunity, often compared to the automotive industry in scale and supply chain complexity.
About the companies
EHang (亿航智能)
Ehang Holdings Ltd., known as EHang Intelligent, is a global leader in advanced air mobility (AAM) technology. Founded in 2014, the company develops and manufactures pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, often referred to as "flying taxis".
The company is best known for its flagship model, the EH216-S, which has achieved a historic industry first: it is the world's only pilotless passenger-carrying eVTOL to have obtained all four major certifications from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), including a Type Certificate and an Air Operator Certificate. XPeng Inc. is a leading Chinese smart electric vehicle and technology company, originally founded as Xiaopeng Motors in August 2014. The company's core business involves the design, development, manufacturing, and marketing of intelligent electric vehicles (EVs).
Beyond smart EVs, XPeng Inc. is actively expanding its ecosystem into several frontier technology areas. These include AI chips, the VLA (Vision-Language-Action) autonomous driving model, humanoid robots (IRON), and Robotaxi (unmanned taxi) services.
