Supply chains in China are under real pressure: geopolitical friction, volatile raw material prices, new regional trade barriers, and recurring disruptions keep breaking just-in-time planning. At the same time, regulators are tightening rules on supply chain security, ESG compliance, and cross-border data flows. For German machinery manufacturers in China, this is no longer just a logistics or procurement question. It affects cost, resilience, and reputation, and it sits right at the friction point between headquarters strategy and Chinese industrial policy.

That's why VDMA, together with GMECS and RÖDL, is holding this CEO/CFO Roundtable under the theme "Rewiring China's New Supply Chain Regime: What the new rules mean for your business - One Challenge, Three Perspectives!", for C-level executives of VDMA member companies in China only. Three RÖDL partners — in law, tax, and business process outsourcing — will each cover one angle: legal compliance and risk, tax planning and policy updates, and process efficiency. The roundtable discussion that follows will look at where headquarters policy and local practice actually clash, and how compliance work can be turned to competitive advantage, drawing on the group's own experience.

Participants will also tour Trützschler's Pinghu plant: a German-owned facility in China. They will see smart manufacturing and supply chain coordination firsthand, from production line setup and material flow to quality traceability.
