Helen Boyle has been in education for over 20 years in the UK. When she arrived to Beijing, she came across a migrant school. Having seen the condition of the workplace in the migrant school in terms of resources, lack of qualified teachers and the school's environment, she felt her need to help. Using her knowledge and experience, she has founded the Migrant Children’s Foundation (MCF). Since then, the aim of MCF has been to provide sustainable, long term support for the migrant communities they work with, enabling them to achieve a better quality of life and education.

Helen's professional career started on a building site in North West London while she was studying Structural Engineering. Her career took a back seat for a number of years after she was married and raised her children. After all, she undertook a Science degree course in IT and Computing, which was followed by a post-grad. Diploma in Education. Helen moved to China in 2009 and studied Mandarin at the University of International Business and Economics.

After the establishment of MCF, Helen decided to stay in Beijing to dedicate her life to her family and volunteering.
