Topic 1:Pain Management in TCM (Sep 20, 2023)
Pain management is an essential component of healthcare, and Chinese medicine offers a distinctive approach to pain treatment that has been used for thousands of years. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) views pain as an imbalance in the body's energy, or Qi, which disrupts the flow of blood and fluids, leading to stagnation and pain. TCM uses various techniques, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage, to restore balance and promote healing. These natural remedies are often preferred by patients due to their effectiveness and minimal side effects.
Dr. Joe Teh Dr. Liam Joe Teh, the holder of a Master's Degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine and majoring in acupuncture, is specialized in treating internal medicine disorders, genitourinary diseases, and musculoskeletal system pain management. Learning from several masters in China, he has acquired a vast experience and combines herbal treatment together with acupuncture as well as Tuina massage when indicated to helped many patients recover from their symptoms.

Dr. Serena Yang Serena received her degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, majoring in internal medicine and acupuncture. Having studied with China National Gynecology Master Dr. Zhu Nan Sun for years, she specializes in gynecology. With a combination of herbal medicine, acupuncture and aromatherapy, she also develops effective healing programs for various health problems.
Topic 3:Get rid of the vexation of Insomnia (Nov 14, 2023)
Counting sheep at night and dozing during the day? People spend 1/3 of their lives sleeping. Ensuring sufficient sleep time helps detoxify and metabolize the body's internal organs and repair some damage to the body. However, did you know that 10% of the world's population is suffering from insomnia? This class will share the brief history of TCM, the theory of Yin-Yang, and 5 elements, Qi and blood. Dr. Zheng Shu Hua will provide an understanding of how TCM can help people improve the small circulation in the body, make it reach a harmonious and balanced state, and get rid of the vexation of insomnia.
Dr. Zheng Shu Hua graduated from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1986. She worked at the Shanghai Hospital of TCM and as a guest doctor at the Diakoniessen Hospital of Austria. The "Shanghai famous and senior TCM doctor" and Immunology expert professor doctor Shen Pi An served as her mentor. Dr. Zheng pays attention to good communication with patients and emphasizes the prevention of diseases. According to the patient's constitution and condition, she provides suggestions on diet, daily life, emotional adjustment, exercise and other aspects of health, and formulates personalized treatment plans for patients.
