Indian STEPs & Business Incubators Association (ISBA) was incorporated in 2004 by Science & Technology Entrepreneur Parks (STEP) and Technology Business Incubators (TBI). Today, it has grown to a membership base of over 130+ incubators that focus on entrepreneurship development and incubation. ISBA's registered office is located at JSSATE – STEP, JSSATE Campus, C 20/1, Sector 62, Noida – 201301, Uttar Pradesh, India. ISBA Secretariat / President Office is functioning at PSG – STEP, PSG College of Technology, Peelamedu, Coimbatore – 641 004 Tamil Nadu, India ISBA is registered as a not-for-profit Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860. Its main objective is “To promote business incubation activities in the country through exchange of information, sharing of experience, and other networking assistance among Indian Business Incubators (TBIs), Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Parks (STEPs) and other related organizations engaged in the promotion of start-up enterprises.” ISBA is the only pan India network of Business Incubators and has an abundance of expertise and knowledge base in technology business Incubation that has been acquired over a period of 25 years. A unique feature is its diversity, with member organisations coming from Academic Institutions / Universities of repute, Research & Development organisations and Technology Parks. Further, virtually every emerging technology sector are addressed beginning with ICT and covering Life Sciences, Electronics, Design, Agri-Business, Manufacturing, Textiles etc. by the Incubator members.

Founded in 1988, the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center (STIC) is a governmental innovation agency affiliated to the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM). STIC is responsible for a series of tech-SMEs policy implementation as well as technology transfer networking and incubation coordination. STIC has served as the supporting organization of STBIA (Shanghai Technology Business Incubation Association), the leading organization of Shanghai IBI (International Business Incubator), the secretariat of Incubation Network in East China, and the founding member & secretariat of AABI (Asian Association of Business Incubation).
