[Shanghai] Real Estate and Construction
Opportunities & Risks, Innovation and Law Updates
Market conditions and laws around real estate differ dramatically between China and Germany. Accounting for about 17% of the Chinese GDP, the overall construction industry and property market are vital for the nation's prosperity, and their performances often serve as indicators of the entire market condition, affecting many other industries as well.
New laws and market trends not only demonstrate risks and challenges but also bring unique, new opportunities. In this context, also China`s new civil Code, which shall come into force from 1 January 2021, will affect the Real Estate and Construction sector. While new laws and market trends force companies to comply with stricter policies and to adapt to new challenges, they at the same time provide companies with room for strategic moves and opportunistic businesses, no matter whether the companies are end-users or property investors, or whether they are occupying office space, retail space, residential space or industrial space.
Examples for those emerging opportunities would include an improved, healthy working environment, a reduction of building utility costs, etc., all of which are crucial to companies' well-beings in this unstable time. In this event, three industry experts will be sharing insights on the latest market developments as well as on changes expected to take place in the near future.
