Are you Ready for China's New Export Control Law?

At the end of 2020, China's highest legislative body passed the Export Control Law, which for the first time specifically and systematically legislates at the highest level on China's export control system. For Chinese exporters (including subsidiaries set up by foreign companies in China to manufacture and export the products in question), this means higher compliance requirements. To ensure a sustainable legal operation, enterprises must have adequate understanding of the various export control laws and regulations in China and the world's major economies, establish internal export compliance systems carefully and keep abreast of new legislative and policy trends. For overseas importers and end users of products imported from China, the legislation act also imposes new compliance requirements on them.

The workshop will provide a brief answer to various questions under the topic of Chinese export control, such as export control items, license requests, obligations of exporters, legal consequences of violating the regulation, etc. It also aims to provide companies with a guidance how to implement an efficient internal compliance system.

The workshop will be held in English and participants active in trading compliance, legal, tax and financial and other relevant fields are welcome to raise questions and share experiences.
