About the Speaker:

Leslie Dong has managed to carve out a remarkable journey for herself by hacking her way through scholarship and award applications. Securing over 30 scholarships totaling over 1.3 million RMB to date, Leslie not only graduated debt-free, but Summa Cum Laude with a 3.98 GPA from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

But her adventure didn't stop there. By leveraging her scholarships, Leslie managed to travel the world and participate in leadership programs in Switzerland, Germany, France, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Mainland China with little to no money out of pocket. At one point, Leslie won so many scholarships that she was liable to pay a 5-digit income tax while still being a student. But instead, she used her remaining funds to start several international companies and haven't looked back since.

Leslie is the recipient of the Jacob Van Ek Award, one of the highest honors awarded at the University of Colorado-Boulder, a Rotary International scholar, a Cassandra Anderson Pyle Awardee, a finalist for the Samuel Huntington Public Service Award, and also wrote the application that helped the Beijing Women's Network win WeWork's Creator Awards in 2018 and $72,000 (roughly 467,000 RMB).

一路披荆斩棘，申请多项奖助学金，Leslie的精彩人生路由此开启。在科罗拉多大学博尔德分校就书期间，她共获得了超过30项奖学金，共计130万元，毕业时不仅毫无经济负担，还以3.98的GPA获得最高荣誉学位。

但精彩仍未止步。Leslie几乎完全依靠奖学金免费环游了世界，并参加了瑞士、德国、法国、韩国、马来西亚、中国香港和中国大陆的领导力项目。

由于奖学金数额较高，当时还是学生的Leslie一度需要缴纳5位数的个人所得税。但她选择用剩余的奖金成立了多家跨国公司，自此一路"开挂"。

Leslie曾获得Jacob Van Ek奖（科罗拉多大学博尔德分校最高荣誉之一）、扶轮社奖学金、Cassandra Anderson Pyle奖，入围Samuel Huntington公共服务奖。她撰写的申请助力北京女性协会在2018年"WeWork创造者大赛"中获胜，赢得了72000美元的奖金（约合人民币467000元）。
