In July, heavy rainfalls hit Henan province in central China, causing devastating flooding. Many German companies immediately provided support for Henan and member companies of the German Chamber of Commerce in China contributed with donations to back disaster relief. To demonstrate constant support, the German Chamber's next Xplore China delegation trip will visit Henan - one of China's most populous provinces.

Befesa Zinc Environmental Protection Technology (Henan) Co., Ltd. is the second recycle processing center invested by Befesa in China, and the first wholly German owned enterprise project in Henan province. This project covers a total investment of 350 million RMB. After the completion in 2021, the project will be able to process 110,000 tons of electric furnace dedusting ash and produce 40,000 tons of zinc oxide powder per year.
