It's no secret that the food and beverage industry is one of the most demanding, often resulting in physical and mental stress that can take a toll on so many who remain silent.

On the eve of World Suicide Prevention Day, Lifeline is once again bringing this dynamic community together, in celebration of life, friendship and community, as we recognize the importance of supporting each other through difficult times.

Join us September 8th for NOURISH: Picnic for Life as Shanghai's best Chef's and restaurants provide amazing food for you to enjoy with your friends – you know, the friends who support you no matter what, for a fabulous night under the stars at Kathleen's Waitan as we raise much needed funds for Lifeline.

A relaxed evening with great food, cocktails, wine, live music; along with an auction and the chance to win prizes it promises to be a memorable experience.

Established in 2004, Lifeline provides the only English speaking helpline and online chat service in Mainland in China. We are a non-profit social entity and completely volunteer based.

We provide 12 hours of support everyday, delivering a responsive and empowering service for those facing life challenges, experiencing emotional difficulties or having suicidal thoughts.

We listen, support and offer resources and referrals helping callers to take positive steps forward.

We understand crises can happen to anyone – regardless of economic resources, gender, age or nationality. Sometimes all that is needed is a listening ear
