The year 2026 has seen the issuance of several landmark State Council Decrees that are fundamentally important for businesses operating in and with China. To help you cut through the actual meaning and complexity of this, we invite you to a dedicated online event that will provide a structured overview and analyze the specific relevance of these new regulations for the machinery and equipment manufacturing sector.

In this session, we will examine three key decrees:

• State Council Decree No. 834: Provisions on the Security of Industrial and Supply Chains issued on March 31, 2026 – This focuses on safeguarding China's industrial and supply chains. It introduces mechanisms for risk monitoring, early warning, and emergency response in "key sectors". For machinery companies, this means a potentially heightened scrutiny on supply chain due diligence, particularly regarding information collection and supplier audits that could be deemed strategically sensitive. We will discuss how this affects your sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics strategies.
• State Council Decree No. 835: Regulations on Countering Unjustifiable Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Measures issued on April 7, 2026 – This creates an additional statutory basis to counter foreign laws or measures China deems to be improper. This is highly relevant for machinery firms facing potential conflicts between foreign sanctions/export controls and Chinese legal requirements. We will outline the new compliance landscape and share initial practical experiences when drafting contracts or general terms and conditions.
• State Council Decree No. 841: Regulations on Exit and Entry Administration promulgate on July 31, 2026 - The regulations, taking effect mid of September, refine scenarios where persons may be barred from leaving the country. For all travelers to China, the regulations mandate stronger verification of visa and immigration applications, granting immigration authorities expanded powers to verify applicants' identities, review the purposes of their visits, and request supplementary information as needed.
