About the Event
Join us for an exclusive Maritime and Offshore B2B Forum and Matchmaking Journey, taking place from the 26th - 28th of October 2026, focused on China's premier marine and offshore engineering ecosystemโ centered on Shanghai, Nantong and the strategic shipbuilding hubs. As a core base for global shipbuilding innovation, China leads the industry in LNG carriers, VLGC (Very Large Gas Carrier) vessels, offshore engineering, and cryogenic technology, with shipyards like Hudong setting international benchmarks for advanced manufacturing and green shipping solutions.
Curated for VDMA members and maritime industry stakeholders, this three-day immersive program is designed to bridge European expertise with China's cutting-edge shipbuilding capabilities. It integrates high-level strategic seminars, exclusive site visits to top-tier shipyards, targeted product presentations, and one-on-one matchmaking sessions. Participants will gain an insider's view of China's shipbuilding landscape, explore collaboration opportunities in LNG/cryogenic segments and offshore engineering, and engage directly with key decision-makers from four major shipyards and industry leaders: Hudong Zhonghua, COSCO Qidong, Nantong CIMC SOE, China Merchants Shipyard (Haimen), and Watts Energy. Whether you seek technical partnerships, market expansion, or insights into next-gen maritime technology, this journey is your gateway to unlocking China's maritime shipbuilding potential.
The event starts with a dedicated Marine & Offshore Seminar in Shanghai's iconic North Bund area, setting the stage for in-depth discussions on industry trends and opportunities, featuring high level speakers.

After the conference, participants will visit the HudongโZhonghua Shipyard, a flagship enterprise in China's shipbuilding industry. The company's core business spans the R&D and construction of large LNG carriers, ultra-large container ships, military vessels and stainless steel chemical tanker.
