About the Event

The event is the first in a series of workshops to aid the professional development of young professionals and student-interns. Workshops will cover topics such as cross-cultural communication, networking 101, LinkedIn management, writing a resume and cover letter, interviewing, ethics in the office and more! Make the most of your internship or work experience by participating in these interactive and engaging workshops.


Managing Up will cover concrete methods for fostering a collaborative relationship with your manager to work effectively and grow your career. Your manager could be a key ally in advancing your career goals but it can be a challenge to connect with them in a meaningful way. This workshop will offer helpful skills and techniques not only for short term effectiveness but also long term career development.

    Program Director of Philanthropy in Motion (PIM)

    As Program Director at Philanthropy in Motion (PIM), Meg develops experiential education programs on social innovation and entrepreneurship. Recognized by Forbes (30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur), the Economist, and the Stanford Social Innovation Review, among others, PIM is a leader of philanthropy education in Asia and hub for social innovation across Greater China.

    Through her work, Meg aims to empower the next generation to take action in solving intractable social and environmental challenges. Previously, Meg was Senior Associate at Elevate, a development consulting firm based in Washington, DC, where she led the launch of INSIGHT, an incubator curriculum for early-stage non-profit leaders and social entrepreneurs seeking to scale. Meg earned her BA with honors in History from Grinnell College and is a recipient of the Phi Beta Kappa Scholar Award. In Beijing, she is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and Co-chair of the Beijing Women’s Network.
