CCS Hongqiao Art & Craft Workshops

Art is a mean of expressing emotions, feelings and messages in visual form. With art one can convey many messages and memories which are difficult to convey through words and voices. Art stimulates mind and enhances visual sense and creates a harmony between heart and brain.

Visual artist Nabanita Saha, our instructor, intends to stimulate the visual sense of the participants and encourage them to express their thoughts, feelings, emotions, passions, dreams and desires in various unique creative forms. Nabanita wishes to give each participant a tool to express their deepest thoughts that words cannot.  

We have designed a series of projects for kids, teens, and adults. In our Art & Craft workshops, you will discover new way to express yourself while creating your own favorite masterpiece. Parents and their kids/teens can also choose to join the workshop together and bond in a new way while each creating their own art/craft pieces. The locations will be at our partner's restaurants: Abbey Road, #3 Taojiang Road, Xuhui District; Geneva, #112 Jinbang Road, Changning District.

1. Mask

3. Puppet

4.Painting on T-shirt

Teens and Adults Project, 1 session (Each participant needs to bring a T-shirt for the class)

5. Embroidery on T-shirt

About Our Instructor Nabanita Saha

As a visual artist, Nabanita had done postgraduate from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda, M.S University India undergraduate (Govt. College of Art & Craft), Kolkata, Calcutta university in 1999 and BA in 1994, Calcutta university. She has been working for last 20 years as a professional artist. Her paintings are mainly in oil on canvas and mixed media on contemporary Indian landscapes. She had received prestigious grants from Elizabeth Greenshields Canada and Pollack Krassner Foundation USA. She also received India Government scholarships and various awards in India. She had attended Artist residency program in France, Switzerland and South Korea. Her works are exhibited Solo and Group shows in galleries across World and Auction houses.
