The Beijing Women's Network holds Monthly Spotlight Dinners to bring our membership together and share professional and personal experiences. Each dinner we spotlight one of our members, who then leads a discussion centered around their own experiences or a topic of choice.
For this month we have Ms. Jackie You. Jackie is the founder of i.e.Capital, a uniquely positioned Beijing startup that is dedicated to giving every CEO & CFO a financial management tool that will deliver a meaningful competitive edge in the innovation era.
i.e.Capital started as an on-demand finance department for highly competitive startups seeking to base critical business decisions on reliable and timely financial data, at reasonable costs. They currently serve both cross-border and early stage domestic companies.
This past year i.e.Capital was a key organizer that brought MaiTai Global’s Extreme Tech Competition (XTC) to China. As a result, ten select founders were able to pitch to China’s top VCs. Eight joined a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit sun-splashed Necker island in the Caribbean to connect, share, and learn from the likes of Sir Richard Branson, Jim Breyer, Tom Siebel, and other seasoned entrepreneurs. There, the entrepreneurs were able to establish connections with premier global resources and some reached strategic alliances.
Jackie previously served as CFO of two NASDAQ-listed technology companies and is still very active in this community. She started her career as a portfolio manager at Sand Hill Advisors in Silicon Valley before moving to a hedge fund, which Barron’s ranked as among the top 30 in the world. There she headed the China desk.
Jackie will share what she learned through personal experience in career and life choices. The point is: Don't allow money to dictate your choices, and that is the key to long term success and happiness.
