FRIDAY NOVEMBER 11: Please join Kehilat Shanghai for a special Shabbat Dinner with Carole Sterling, Board Chair of the World Union for ProgressiveJudaism!
Kehilat Shanghai welcomes Carole Sterling, Board Chair of the World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ), who is stopping in Shanghai to meet the Kehilat Shanghai community before going to the biannual WUPJ conference in Australia. Join us and show her what a vibrant congregation we are building , so that she can tell the WUPJ board how important it is to support progressive Jewish life here!
This Friday, in addition to our usual Shabbat dinner, we will also hold an early Shabbat dinner for families with young children who cannot stay up late and anyone else who would prefer an early Shabbat meal. The gathering will start at 5pm to allow children to play together and adults to meet Carole. Parents are encouraged to bring their babies and younger children so that everyone can enjoy Shabbat together! Remember to bring your games and toys! (Please note: entrance is free; an a la carte menu will be available)
At 7 pm, our regular Kabbalat Shabbat will begin (anyone who came early and wants to stay is welcome); the cost is RMB 100 per person if paid online or RMB 120 if paid at the door.
Time: Early Shabbat 5 PM, Regular Shabbat at 7 PM
