Planning to celebrate my 40th birthday next January 21st in Bali.
Dates are: Jan 18-25th
Letting you all know early as I'd love to see you there. Feel no pressure about coming for the entire time or at all if you can't make it! But, each and every one of you has made a big impact in my life and I'd love to see you and party with you on my 40th.
Kids are welcome, significant others welcome, singles always welcome!
Trying to keep the group not too crazy but I can't make any promises.
I am planning to book a big private luxury villa in either Seminyak or Changgu that has around 8 rooms. WE will use this as home base. I will send you guys links once I book so you can check if it's something you want in on! This should be for people who plan to stay the entire week bc they require 1 week booking minimum.
People are welcome to book their own accommodation in hotels or other villas if they want something different. Try to stay within Seminyak or Changgu area thought. I am pretty sure we will have more people coming than this. So, for people who are sure for sure they are coming let me know early so I can reserve spots for you. Cost should be within $125-$150 USD per person per night based on double accommodations. It should include car/driver to be shared and probably cook/maid service.

Depending on responses, I may try to break up the accommodations into people with kids and people without (no offense) just so that the kids will be able to play around each other easier. Depends on how many people give me heads up early enough.
Since it's around Chinese New Year I recommend you guys book tickets early as possible. The travel in this time is crazy. Costs start doubling very soon so just book early to avoid this.
After Bali, I'm planning to go with Tanya to Sydney Australia / Tasmania for anyone who wants to join and has extra vacation time since you're flying all the way to Asia. :)
Birthday Festivities will take place Saturday 1/21 NIGHT which will be a dinner and party.
But for sure we will party on Friday night as well as probably every other night we are there.
Childcare can also be arranged and you can reach out to me for suggestions. We will definitely also be having welcome dinner and side trips to UBUD/diving/surfing organized for people who are interested.
I just wanted to put the date in your minds and let people who are interested start looking at air tickets early if you want to come! I just booked a return ticket from Shanghai for about 3200 RMB FYI on ticket prices right now.
Please let me know if you have tentative plans to make it all the way out here for my bday! I know it's a big ask, but I love you all and can't think of a better way to spend my big 4-0!
