Jing The new Jing restaurant at The Peninsula Beijing is a contemporary “Farm-to-Table” venue with a stylish design evoking a mystical Chinese garden. To meet the increasing demand in China for healthy dining, Chef Alberto focuses on “farm-to-table” gastronomy, working with more than 20 carefully selected farms near Beijing and across China, all fully certified by the Chinese or the US Government, and visited on a regular basis to ensure the quality of the ingredients.
These local producers supply traceable, sustainably produced and predominantly organic vegetables and fruits on a seasonal basis, ranging from onions, garlic and carrots to wasabi, white asparagus and sweet potato, while the hotel’s own onsite greenhouse cultivates fresh herbs to garnish the signature recipes created by Chef Alberto and his team.
