Dong Xu is a Partner of Ernst & Young Indirect Tax Practice based in Shanghai and has worked for Ernst & Young for more than 15 years.
Dong Xu has plenty of experience on customs and indirect tax advisory projects for different industries. His projects include compliance reviews, customs valuation risk assessments, indirect tax risk analysis and exposure evaluation, advising on operational structures to streamline clients’ supply chain processes and improve indirect tax efficiency, etc.
Dong Xu assisted many manufacturers in its transformation of business models, such as processing trade, pilot trade mode encouraged by the governments, and restructuring the trade flows to mitigate the risk or reduce the indirect tax costs.
He also assisted the clients to optimize the pricing arrangement to mitigate customs valuation risks in import and export operations.
His customs and indirect tax experiences are mainly involved with clients of the industrial product manufacturing companies, medical device companies, distribution companies, etc.
He is specialized in addressing the risks along with the business mode change and providing feasible and down-to-earth suggestions to clients.
