Event Details

Dear VDMA members,

The 3rd VDMA Robotics + Automation and EMINT Joint China Management Meeting will be held online on Nov. 4th at 15:00 โ€“ 16:30. We cordially invite you to join this event. The leading topic of this event is Decoupling and China+1 Strategy.

In recent years, the business environment in China has been undergoing dramatic changes. Amongst these various challenges, the decoupling of China and the US has caused many members to start worrying about the future supply chain and business environment in China. At the same time, China's consistent zero-Covid policy has caused many problems for companies. With all these challenges ahead, China is being re-examined by foreign companies as an investment point. The China+1 strategy is starting to be taken into account by more and more foreign companies. In this China Management Meeting, we will invite our Robotics + Automation and EMINT member companies to share with us their respective insights on the impact of decoupling on them and on the China+1 strategy.

At the beginning of the webinar, Mr. Patrick Schwarzkopf, Managing Director of VDMA Robotics + Automation and Mr. Thilo Brรผckner, Managing Director of VDMA EMINT will present the latest statistical figures of both sectors.

Afterwards, Mr. Andrew Adair, Consultant Foreign Trade โ€“ North America of VDMA will present the results of the latest VDMA study 'Challenge "Decoupling USA-China" What can the European engineering industry do?'.

Furthermore, Mr. Thomas Sattes, Regional Vice President โ€“ Asia Pacific / Managing Director Greater China of BALLUFF will share his insight into the China+1 strategy and its implications on sales and production footprint.

After these two impulse presentations, we would like to invite the attendees to share their own experience and opinion with each other.

The China Management Meeting is not only a great platform for our members to learn the latest market updates but also to network and exchange with other executives in the same sector group. If the time is not suitable for you, we also welcome your colleagues to join this event.

We are looking forward to your participation!

With kind regards,

VDMA Robotics + Automation, VDMA EMINT and GMECS Shanghai
