Policy Support on Work Resumption in Qingdao amid COVID-19 – Updates on Policy Support Measures on Work and Production Resumption

This webinar updates the Qingdao business community on the latest policy support measures introduced by the Qingdao municipal government to help enterprises resume work in light of the current COVID-19 situation.


Mr. XUE Runbo, Deputy Director at the Bureau of Commerce Qingdao, will update the audience on the latest economic measures and support policies regarding work and production resumption.


Mr. SHEN Lei, Deputy President at the Sino-German Ecopark Qingdao, will introduce the audience to the Qingdao International Business Club (Germany) and update on services provided to German enterprises.


Dr. Sigrid WINKLER, Executive Chamber Manager at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai, will moderate the webinar and hold the opening and closing remarks.


A Q&A session will be held at the end of the webinar to address the audience's questions. Please type in your inquiries in the registration form.

    Mr. Runbo XUE, Deputy Director-General of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce, has vast international experience in governmental positions. In 2000, he held the position of Chief Business Representative of the Qingdao Municipal Government in Southampton, UK. From 2002 to 2006, he has been the First Secretary, Business Section, of the Chinese Embassy in South Africa. Mr. XUE participated in the negotiations of the city of Qingdao with Robert Bosch, Recaro and many other companies.

    Vice President at Sino-German Ecopark

    Mr. Lei SHEN worked for a long time at the Shandong Province Foreign Office as Head of Unit for European and African Affairs and relocated to Qingdao in 2011 where he since holds the position of Deputy President of the Administrative Committee of the Sino-German Ecopark Qingdao. He is also a visiting professor at the German department of Qingdao University.

    In October 2016, Dr. Sigrid Winkler was appointed Executive Chamber Manager at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai and is in charge of the membership organization at the Chamber. Dr. Winkler joined the German Chamber earlier in spring 2016, initially as Project Manager Social Responsibility where she was responsible for the More than a Market initiative. Dr. Winkler holds a PhD in Political Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies from Vienna University. Before joining the German Chamber, she was Head of Office of the Austrian Academic Exchange Agency (OeAD) in Shanghai. Previously, Dr. Winkler managed international business development projects in China and Eastern Europe for Business Upper Austria, the economic agency of the regional government of Upper Austria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on EU-China relations, and since 2002, she has been regularly coming back to China for shorter and longer-term stays.
