From healthcare and medtech to fintech and blockchain, technology holds the promise of a better future for all. However, it is not difficult to point out areas where the application of technology does the opposite and becomes dangerous instead. For example, AI, robotics and automation may increase efficiency and production, but they may also cost valuable jobs. Ride and bike sharing apps have had a series of unintended consequences, including greater traffic congestion, sidewalk cluttering and rainbow waves of "bike graves."

At the end of the day, humans and society are the ones that stand to gain and lose the most from technological advances, and the conversation on what the rules and ethics are, need to start immediately.

Ms. Landy Huang joined Google in 2007, currently is the VP of Marketing Insights and Solutions Google Greater China. She’s been in charge of various businesses units from 2007-2018, including New Business Solutions, Small and Medium Business, Online Sales & Operations and Large Customer Sales. From 2012-2016 Landy has mainly focused on the export side of the ads business. She developed Google China’s export ads business from scratch, and grew Google China to the largest country in APAC in terms of export ad revenue.
Prior to Google, Ms. Landy Huang was Regional Sales Manager at Dell China, in charge of East Region, Public Sector.
Ms. Huang graduated from Xiamen University in 2002, holding a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor Degree in Law.

联合创始人兼COO at 宝宝玩英语
Melissa是位连续创业者，在旅游、搜索和教育领域多年。她现在是宝宝玩英语的联合创始人兼COO。宝玩做在线幼儿英语启蒙教育。从2011年起，她联合创办途家网，途家是中国最大的民宅分享平台，估值过15亿美金。之前她在微软负责亚洲市场搜索引擎技术，做中国、日本韩国的必应搜索。从2007-2009年，她在西雅图一家创业公司Escapia任CTO，建立美国度假租赁行业的领先Saas平台，被HomeAway收购。2001-2006年，她在知名旅游互联网公司Expedia.com任技术总监，负责所有业务线的框架和后台系统。Melissa持有清华大学自动化系学士和美国华盛顿大学计算机硕士学位。
Melissa is an experienced entrepreneur in travel, search and education. She is currently a co-founder and COO at Baby English, a startup focusing on early online English education for Chinese kids from 0 to six years old. Since 2011, she has co-founded Tujia.com, the largest home-sharing platform in China with over 1.5 billion USD valuation. Prior to it, she worked at Microsoft, responsible for its search engine Bing product in Asian market, primarily China, Japan and Korea. From 2007-2009, she joined Escapia as CTO, a Seattle startup, building software for professional property managers and a consumer vacation rental web site. Escapia was acquired by HomeAway. She was a director of development at Expedia, responsible for infrastructure and backend of all line of business from 2001-2006. Melissa holds a Bachelor degree in Automation from Tsinghua University and a Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington.

博士、副研究员，2005年获中南大学理学学士学位，同年免试推荐至中国科学院自动化研究所模式识别国家重点实验室就读硕博连读研究生，于2010年获工学博士学位并留所工作。董晶博士主要从事图像处理、模式识别、多媒体内容安全方面的研究工作，已在国际学术会议上发表学术论文30余篇。已承担和参与国家973课题、863课题、国家科技支撑计划、国家自然科学基金等多个国家和省部级科研项目的研发工作。她现为国际电气电子工程师学会（IEEE）高级会员、中国计算机学会会员, 并担任中国人工智能学会理事、副秘书长，中国图象图形学学会副秘书长、女工委秘书长，中国电子学会通信学分会多媒体信息安全专委会委员、中国计算机学会视觉专委会委员，中国人工智能学会模式识别专委会委员，中国图象图形学学会视觉大数据专委会委员、多媒体取证与安全专委会委员、副秘书长，北京图象图形学学会理事，IEEE亚太区执委、IEEE亚太区女工程师协调员、IEEE北京分会女工程师委员会主席，并曾参与多个国内、国际模式识别与信号处理相关会议和学术刊物的评审工作。
Ph.D, Associate Professor, Dr. Jing Dong received her BSc in Electronic Information Science and Technology from Central South University in 2005 and her PhD in Pattern Recognition from the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since July 2010, Dr. Dong has joined the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), where she is currently an Associate Professor. Her research interests include pattern recognition, image processing and digital image forensics. She has published over 30 academic papers and she is a member of CCF, CAAI, a Senior member of IEEE. She also serves as the deputy general of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and the China Society of Image and Graphics. She also serves as an IEEE Volunteer leader in Region 10 and Beijing Section from many aspects of academic activities.
