Join our 12 American Delegates and help build US-China cross-cultural diplomacy
Americans Promoting Study Abroad (APSA) is a registered 501(c)3 charity in Washington, D.C that is dedicated to creating high quality, transformative global education programs tailored to the needs of diverse American youth. Since 2008 we have brought over 400 American youth to China to immerse in the local culture, language and explore future global career opportunities.
Through the close collaboration with our partners in China and the US, together we are committed to building a network of young, motivated global citizens. During our programs we support events that are aimed at strengthening cross-cultural diplomacy and on July 28th our twelve 2017 College level students will volunteer to take part in an event hosted by the School if International Studies (SIS) at Peking University. The event will connect 150 Chinese high school graduates, who will attend Peking University in the Autumn, with American Delegates to discuss the future of US-China relations and what they can do to strengthen people-to-people connections across the two cultures.
We are excited to open this volunteering opportunity to other American students or young professionals currently in Beijing who are passionate about building bridges of understanding between American and Chinese young people.
We are seeking for 20 more American university students or young professionals between the age of 18 - 26 to join our Delegates on the 28th. APSA will provide lunch and an introduction from 12-1:00pm and the SIS event will take place from 1:00 - 2:00pm. Please note the event will be held in English, no Chinese language level is required.
For those who are interested please complete the registration form and submit all required information to us before July 24th. We will review your application and confirm your participation as a Delegate by email no later than July 25th.
For those interested, we are happy to answer any questions you have about the event, please send an email to: Email: bridgebuilders@apsaglobal.org Subject: US-China Bridge Builder Event: July 28th 2017
